Which size counts as a carry-on?

The 20-inch shell. Delta, American and other large carriers publish a 22 by 14 by 9 inch limit that includes wheels and handles, and a 20-inch case sits inside it. Southwest publishes a larger allowance at 24 by 16 by 10 inches. Check the airline you booked, not the label on the case.

What is the difference between the hard and soft sets?

Hard sets use 100% polycarbonate, which flexes and returns to shape, and they close flat with nothing on the outside. Soft sets use high density oxford, which gives you front pockets and a little stretch when you overpack, at the cost of impact protection.

Will the spare handle fit another brand of case?

No. The maker states that these handles fit SHOWKOO luggage only. Handle mounts differ between brands and often between model years, so measure the old handle before ordering.

Do the prices here update?

We refresh them on a schedule and show the date of the last update on one page instead of repeating it everywhere. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout with our retail partner.

Do the cases expand?

The 24 and 28 inch shells expand by about twenty percent through a zip in the middle of the shell. The 20-inch carry-on does not expand, and that is on purpose: an expanded case stops meeting the cabin rule.

Are the wheels replaceable?

We list spare telescoping handles, not spare wheels. If a wheel fails, a luggage repair shop can usually swap the housing, and the case is worth keeping if the shell is sound.

How heavy are the sets?

Where the maker publishes a weight we print it on the product page, and for the three piece hard sets it lands between 25 and 30 pounds for all three cases together. Cases without a published weight show no weight at all, because an estimate would be a guess.
